Arctic Suomi is a fascinating place to explore, for those that are not familiar with the word Suomi, for me it is simply a synonym for the English speaking word Finland.  Who has the right to determine a name, those that inherited the name, or those that are on the outside?  In linguistic semantics and the communication,  understanding the content has an important objective role, to think, to speak, to have a dialogue, and to name things, people or a nation with meaning, it adds much value to the conversation.

I create content by writing and by going to the field to photograph the Arctic Suomi environment in all season all around the year.  The seasons are remarkably different from season to season, it is noticeable in the environments and the life cycle of nature.

The Arctic Suomi is a really fascinating place to explore if you enjoy spending time in the natural outdoors.  I enjoy being outdoors all seasons of the year and it helps if you know how to ski either backcountry telemark or use the network of ski trails that are almost every ski resort town, and most of them have lighting for the mid-winter solstice season when there is only 6 hours of sunlight. While skiing it is a good idea to have a backpack, and carry the necessary gear needed for several hour trip. My backpack usually has several basic things that I always take with me.  They are one litre of fresh water, rye bread sandwiches, or assorted nuts and dried fruit, dark chocolate, paper tissues, mobile phone, spare beanie, camera, mobile phone, and spare mittens for camera photography.  Depending on how long the trip is, and what the season is, then I pack the backpack accordingly. And include spare thermal top and bottom, spare pair of socks and wind protection and thermos for hot tea, concentrated hot juice or plain hot water. I hope your visit to www.Arcticsuomi.com has been practical, informative and useful, thank you for visiting.
